📍KnockaghMonument, Belfast

Perched high above Belfast in Newtownabbey, the Knockagh Monument stands quietly against the sky, a stone tribute wrapped in sweeping views of Belfast Lough. The climb up feels like shedding the noise of everyday life, each step taking you further from deadlines and closer to stillness. Up here, the wind carries nothing but calm, and the world below fades into something distant and small, like it can wait just a little longer.

Sometimes, the best escape isn’t far—it’s just higher. Standing beside the monument, you feel the kind of peace that reminds you to pause, breathe, and just be. The horizon stretches endlessly, and for a moment, work, stress, and routine lose their grip. This is your reminder to step away and find your own quiet corner above it

I didn’t fly to the UK just for a postgrad degree — I flew here to upgrade my mindset. 🇬🇧✈️ Education is the foundation, but the real mission is bigger: understanding global markets, studying how systems work, and learning how to build something that lasts. Every lecture, every conversation, every new experience is market research for the future I’m creating.

I respect the 9–5, but I refuse to live below my potential. I’m here to grow knowledge, build strategy, and design my own lane. This chapter isn’t about fitting into a job — it’s about building my own empire. Long-term vision. Ownership. Freedom.

Your 20s were loud — late nights, big dreams, messy love, fearless leaps. Your 30s? They’re quieter… but deeper. You start trading chaos for clarity, FOMO for focus, and proving yourself for protecting your peace. The glow-up isn’t just skin-deep anymore — it’s emotional, spiritual, practical. You realize growth doesn’t always look glamorous. Sometimes it looks like setting boundaries, choosing stability, and healing things you once ignored. ✨

And living in a different country in your 30s hits differently. It’s not just an adventure — it’s resilience. It’s building a life from scratch when everyone else seems “settled.” It’s learning to be brave in another language, finding home in unfamiliar streets, and missing people who can’t see who you’re becoming. But somehow, through the loneliness and lessons, you turn into someone stronger — softer, wiser, and unapologetically you. 🌍

📍 Big fish, Belfast 🇮🇪🇬🇧

In the blue-hour amber of Belfast, where the Lagan swallows the ghosts of the day, we navigate the architecture of our own endurance. This city doesn’t just hold history; it breathes through the marrow of those who linger in its cobblestone shadows, trading whispers for the weight of old disappointments. We are a people forged in the quiet friction between what we once feared and what we have learned to outlive. Each evening is a slow-burning manuscript of “almosts” and “someday,” where the damp air carries the scent of rain and the heavy, poetic truth that to live here is to love a thing that has been broken and mended a thousand times over.
We gather our memories like stray light against the creeping North Irish chill, knowing that every shared glance in a crowded pub is a defiance against the ticking clock. Life here is not found in the grand declarations, but in the gritty, beautiful resilience of waking up to a sky that offers no promises. We carry our griefs as quietly as we carry our triumphs, understanding that fear is merely the shadow cast by our desire to stay. In the end, we are just transient souls anchored to these streets, finding a strange, aching grace in the disappointment, and realizing that the life we live is the only masterpiece we were ever meant to compose

The first snow of my lifetime in the UK felt like stepping straight into a childhood dream I didn’t even know I was still carrying. Soft white flakes fell quietly from the sky, turning ordinary streets into something magical, as if the world had paused just long enough for wonder to catch up. For a moment, everything felt lighter — the air, my thoughts, even time itself — and I couldn’t help but smile like a child seeing snow for the very first time.

Daily life slows down in winter, and snow makes that pause even more beautiful. Familiar routines feel different under a white blanket, quieter and calmer, as if winter is gently reminding us to breathe, reflect, and feel. In this cold season, there’s warmth in simple moments — frozen fingers, rosy cheeks, and the joy of watching the world transform into something softly unreal.

As an international student in Belfast, life feels like a gentle becoming—between unfamiliar accents, borrowed skies, and memories of home. In the act of wandering, I find peace, and in the stillness of motion, I find myself.

Evenings softly here, where the road stretches ahead and the sky learns new shades of blue. I wander with no map, letting the city breathe around me, finding comfort in quiet streets and moments that ask nothing in return.

Angane Athum therumanam aayi … 2025 ! ❤️ #

At the beginning of this year, things were very difficult. I spent a lot of time feeling sad and crying because of heartbreaks and leaving the job I did for five years. I had to make a big choice to move to the UK to study, which meant leaving my home in Kerala. It was so hard to say goodbye to my family, my close friends, and the fun night drives. I missed the food and the land I grew up on, and I felt very alone in a brand new country.
But everything changed for the better. I met new people, saw old friends again, and started living with a great group of friends who made me feel at home. Now, as the year ends, I am truly happy. December gave me the best memories, and I’m so glad to be holding hands with someone special as we start 2025 together. I’ve come a long way from the beginning of the year, and I’m ready for what’s next!
