Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav, known for films like Hungama and Chup Chup Ke, was briefly sent to Tihar Jail in February 2026 over a long-running cheque bounce case.

The ₹5 crore loan dispute (now reportedly ₹9–10 crore with interest) led to legal action under Section 138.

The Delhi High Court granted interim bail till March 18, 2026, after he deposited ₹1.5 crore.
