The nocturnal predator !
Mottled wood owl , one of the big owl's found in india . What attracted me in this bird is its big black eyes and the rufous colour. It's not that easy to spot an owl in its habitat , because during day time it roosts on a perch which is well covered makes it difficult to spot and these guys are well camouflaged. How I usually spot it is I search for a it's excretion on ground because owls usually has a favorite perch and they are mostly found there . Once I find it I calmly look up and spot it , sounds easy but to find out it's perch it's difficult and owls are mostly shy and when disturbed they fly away.
