Worst experience ever in as a regular woman passenger. Yesterday we (group of 5 )were travelling from kamakhya to njp on GHY NJP IC EXPRESS seated in S1 coach . 3 of us were seated in the closest part of the general compartment. After half an hour 7-8 drunk passengers (without reservation ticket) boarded below us. They tried to sit on our upper berth, then started badmouthing after finding girls lying there.. when we questioned them they were sitting not in our seats.. They were talking loudly, changing dresses in front of us, smoking, staring at us badly. We tried to stop them but were harassed. We tried to complain to 139 , they assured us they would send TT and security personnel immediately but they didn't.. after some time we complained again but no response was given.. TT called and asked us to wait as he is busy in AC coaches as if this kind of thing is normal.. after calling TT and helpdesk again and again not a single person came but the complaint reference closed. After 1hour TT came and sent the drunk men to the general compartment as they have general tickets.😠 As if it gave them rights to harass other passangers.. He assured us they will not come again. But after some time they came again and were smoking and badmouthing us. We complained again and they backed off after we confronted them. Some time later a police man came and tried to find them but was not found.. He stayed there for some time then left. We were terrified and couldn't sleep . After some time some other guys came on board with general tickets as seats below us were empty. We talked to them and after finding them sober and well mannered we finally relaxed and went to our seats. But still other passengers kept coming and talking and smoking. We couldn't sleep the whole night and we couldn't journey like this .......
