FSSAI bans sale of select Old Monk, , variants over artificial flavouring

The government has clarified that the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has initiated enforcement action against certain alcoholic beverage manufacturers, including makers of select Old Monk rum variants, over alleged violations of food safety regulations.

The action affects brands made by United Spirits, Inbrew Beverages and Mohan Rocky Springwater after the regulator found the use of artificial flavouring.
