Happened to travel to Udishu Budha…Today.
Travelled across length and breadth of Tokyo…Then realised I missed a station to get off….Then took a taxi to reach….After seeing the Budha felt its worth it, When I came out there were no taxis and a bus which takes to the nearest station was delayed or cancelled. Walked close to 2.5 kms….Nowhere to go but Ushiku station with pains in the knee and the back…After all the walk saw two Boys with not much knowledge of English Somehow managed to tell him that we are lost and with No uber or taxis or Public taxis…The boys told us to wait for 15 mins…And I was trying for lift with cars going on. No one tried to stop…Two Indians lost and feeling hopelessness. Mind working in different directions to look for a hotel nearby as the night was in touching distance. Prayed god to send the boys who said would return in 15, it took them 25mins. He came along with His mother, and we hopped on in his car. Questions raised how to thank him, by offering money ( felt they might not take it well) I conveyed his mother u raised a good man….Finally the station was reached after a good 15 mins of drive. Tried to offer by saying how can I repay you for your help( the mother conveyed no need to thank it’s our duty to take care of our guests. I said good bye my friend and blessed him to be a successful life with love and peace. Wifey cried when we were exchanging words and we were thinking such was our history when in grandpa era distant relatives and friends used to meet us in cities town or villages by help by giving Hospitality. Our busy lives have changed….in present day.
