Some landscapes challenge your imagination.

The Tiramisu formations of Mangystau, Kazakhstan, are among the rarest geological wonders on Earth. Under an ever-changing sky, the landscape comes alive as light dances across ancient layers, revealing textures and colors that seem almost unreal.

For a landscape photographer, moments like these aren’t captured—they’re earned.

Which image speaks to you more??

Some landscapes refuse to fit inside a camera frame. Bromo National Park is one of them.

Standing on the ground, you can admire its beauty, but you can never truly comprehend its scale. It wasn’t until I took the drone into the sky that the landscape revealed its true character—a vast volcanic amphitheater, endless patterns carved into the Sea of Sand, and mountains rising like ancient guardians.

From above, every trail becomes a brushstroke, every ridge tells a geological story, and the tiny vehicles below remind us how insignificant we are in the presence of nature.

Sometimes, changing your perspective is all it takes to witness the extraordinary.

SAME LANDSCAPE. TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MOMENTS OF LIGHT.

Bozjyra, Kazakhstan.

I photographed these remarkable formations under two very different light conditions—and it reminded me why I can return to the same landscape again and again.

In the first frame, soft pastel light gives the desert an almost ethereal stillness.

In the second, low directional light transforms the same formations—deep shadows carve through the landscape while the last warm light catches the cliffs.

Nothing moved.

Only the light changed.

And yet, they feel like two completely different photographs.

Which would you hang on your wall—1 or 2? And what makes you choose it?

DAWN OF KOMODO

Every destination has a moment that stays with you.

For me, it wasn’t the famous viewpoints or the wildlife—it was this quiet sunrise. The sea lay perfectly still, the islands slowly emerged from the darkness, and for a few minutes, Komodo belonged only to the morning light.

No crowds. No noise. Just the kind of silence that reminds you why you travel.

Captured from above with my DJI drone.

Not every sunset needs a dramatic story.

Sometimes, all you have to do is stand still and watch the last rays of sunlight paint the hills in gold while the boats quietly wait for another day at sea.

I stayed here longer than I planned, simply taking it all in before pressing the shutter. Moments like these remind me why I keep chasing landscapes—they have a way of making everything else fade into the background.

Would you rather watch this sunset from the hilltop or be on one of those boats? 🌅

Over the Paddy Fields 🌾🚁

Standing among these lush paddy fields, I knew the view was beautiful. But it wasn’t until my drone soared into the sky that the landscape truly came alive.

From above, endless emerald terraces unfold beneath two magnificent volcanoes, while dramatic cloud formations complete a scene that feels almost too perfect to be real.

Sometimes, the most breathtaking perspective is the one waiting just a little higher.

Realm of Clouds VII — Farewell 🌅

And so, the journey ends where every unforgettable journey should—with one last look at the horizon.

For seven days, I shared the ever-changing skies of Komodo: from gathering storms and moments of stillness to tempest, awakening, and finally, this golden farewell.

These photographs were captured over three days from the deck of a boat, watching the same sky transform itself again and again. No two moments were ever the same.

Perhaps that is what drew me to these clouds in the first place.

They reminded me that nature never repeats itself.
We simply have to be there when the moment arrives.

This is the final chapter of Realm of Clouds.

Thank you to everyone who followed this seven-day visual journey. Before I close this series, I have one question for you:

Which chapter of Realm of Clouds was your favourite—Day 1 to Day 7? Tell me in the comments.
