Pairing of Danaus genutia, the common tiger, is one of the common butterflies of India. This butterfly lays its egg singly under the leaves of any of its host plants. The caterpillar is black and marked with bluish-white and yellow spots and lines.

3 days old baby house sparrow..

Since yesterday, he seems to be stable now but still he is eating less than I anticipated. Good thing is he sleeps peacefully all day and night and wakes up only to have a bite. He is starting to grow some feathers, should be able to eat by himself by next week and fly free in couple of weeks.

Lets hope for the best

Parasa lepida, the nettle caterpillar or blue-striped nettle grub, is a moth of the family Limacodidae.
Larva pale green, whitish or bright yellowish green on the dorsal surface. There are three green bands throughout the body. Sub-dorsal and sub-lateral series of short spinous tubercles, the spines of the anterior and posterior tubercles tipped with red. Cocoon purple brown.
