Life isn’t only about living the life everyone else is living.

For some, it may mean marrying a good person, settling into a good society, having two or three children, a stable job, a car, a beautiful home and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

But life has different definitions for different people.

Some choose the mountains over the mansion, freedom over conformity, experiences over possessions, and a life that feels meaningful over a life that simply looks settled.

So, before you ask someone, “Bihe nagarne? Budho bhai sakyo ta?” remember, not everyone is running the same race, and not everyone has the same destination.

Take care when you define someone else’s life.
What looks unsettled to you might be someone else’s idea of freedom.

Always the mountains.

I’m a mountain person - perhaps because I was born among them, or perhaps because a part of me has always belonged there.

The mountains lift my spirit, quiet my mind, wash away my stress, and give me a kind of peace that nowhere else can.

The forests, the springs, the waterfalls, the rivers, the cold wind, the silence. they aren’t just part of my surroundings; they run through my veins.

I was born in the mountain, and if life allows me, I want to leave this world somewhere among the hills.

So, wherever the road leads, always the mountains. ✌️

They may call us “Chinese,” “momo,” or “foreigner” in our own land, but none of that can take away our love for the nation we call home.

I may not know the exact statistics of Independence Day celebrations across India, but one thing I know with pride Sikkim never misses a chance to celebrate the nation with all its heart. 🇮🇳

From our towns to our remote villages, the tricolour flies high, our streets come alive, and our people come together to honour the country we are proud to belong to.

We may look different to some, but our patriotism needs no introduction.

Gnathang in monsoon feels like a beautiful woman you can never quite figure out. Her beauty is enough to leave you spellbound, but her moods? Completely unpredictable. One moment she’s wrapped in mist, the next she’s dancing with the rain. You can’t question her, you can’t control her, you simply have to adjust, adapt, and understand her.
