The Photography Club of Sikkim on the 12th year of its establishment.
Felicitated Mr. Kunga Tashi Lepcha in recognition to his selection to the prestigious MAGNUM FOUNDATIONS Fellowship, a remarkable achievement in the field of photography
3 senior members Mr Benu Mukhia , Mr Niraj Thapa and Mr Pempa Tshering Bhutia were also felicitated for their enormous contribution to the club.
The Photography Club of Sikkim organized a grand felicitation program at Dawn Hill, Nam Nang, Gangtok.

The event was graced by a few special guests and well wishers of the club including avid photographer and artist Mr. Bhaskar Raj Pradhan (Judge of the Sikkim High Court) Eminent poet Mr. Tashi Choppel, Secretary of the Education Department, and Mr. Rimp Dorjee Lepcha,Chief Engineer of the Culture Department, Sikkim. The presence of all club members added to the celebratory atmosphere, marking a momentous occasion for the photography community in the region.

The felicitation program highlighted the club’s commitment to nurturing talent and recognizing excellence in photography. The honored members expressed their gratitude and shared insights into their journey, inspiring the attendees with their dedication and passion.

The Photography Club of Sikkim continues to play a vital role in promoting artistic expression and visual storytelling, fostering a vibrant community of photographers in the state.

World Photography Day 2023
The PCOS in association with Studio Tetteluna had an engaging and insightful session around a project titled "Meditations on coming home" created by a young gifted film maker and photographer Gyani Pradhan Wong Ah Sui who hails from Mauritius and Sikkim.
The participants embarked upon a photowalk and brought in a diverse array of images , and the studio provided a perfect platform for vibrant discussions and emotions associated with each image.

The Photography Club of Sikkim is extremely happy to announce that one of our members Mr.Barun Rai has won the prestigious “Hello! North Bengal” photography contest in the Landscape Category on 21/08/2022 organised at Ramkinkar Hall , Dinabhandu Mancho, Siliguri. The contest was conducted by camera giants Nikon India Pvt. Ltd. in association with Spectrum Colour Lab, Siliguri.
Talking to Mr.Barun on his achievement ,he expressed his happiness and said that this achievement was not possible without the love and support of his family and friends. Also he extended his gratitude to The Photography Club Of Sikkim especially for the numerous workshops organised by the team in the past and also the undoubting exposure which has helped him sharpen his knowledge and interest towards photography.
We PCOS once again like to congratulate him on his success.

A few members of the PCOS beat a cold chilly November evening, to have a warm and interactive Talk Session at Rachnabooks, with veteran landscape photographer Mr Rindani, otherwise known as 'A backpackers author'. The photographer will be in Sikkim for a few days and wishes to visit North and West Sikkim soon.
