உலக யானைகள் தினம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஆகஸ்ட் 12 அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த தேதி யானைகளின் நம்பமுடியாத வலிமை, புத்திசாலித்தனம் மற்றும் கருணை ஆகியவற்றைக் கௌரவிக்கும் அதே வேளையில் அவை காட்டு மற்றும் சிறைபிடிப்புகளில் எதிர்கொள்ளும் அச்சுறுத்தல்களை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறது.(World Elephant Day is observed every year on August 12. This date was chosen to honour the incredible strength, intelligence, and grace of elephants while highlighting the threats they face in the wild and captivity.)
