“College khatam ho rha hai” - This was the thought that was stuck in my head on 14th May, a day before BTP. Obviously I was not able to sleep that night because all the bittersweet memories kept flashing through and my heart was not willing to accept that we were already experiencing the lasts of everything related to college life.
All of it started with “Bhaiya APJ 5 kidhar hai?” and little did I know that APJ 5 mein life itna crazy turn lene wali hai. First day CR bann chuka tha, aur 1st sem mein ECE-1 mein jitni classes hui thi usse zyada shayad cancel hui hongi. 2nd sem tak aate ye clear ho gaya tha ki electronics to mere se hogi nahi, to padhayi bas itni karni hai ki CGPA decent bani rahe.
Pehli baar Moksha dekha, aur admin pe lagi bheed dekh kar samajh aata tha ki NSUT sirf classes aur assignments se kahi zyada hai. Junoon mein covering team ko VIP access milta tha, aur bas wahi se start hua. 23rd March 2023 ko pehla event cover kiya, and never looked back.
2nd and 3rd year ka best part yahi tha ki sab kuch bohot spontaneous tha. Moksha, Reso, Junoon, IEEE, Ethnic Day aur inn sab ke beech semester exams, CTs, labs, viva. In retrospect, when I think about this, bas yahi lagta hai ki shayad is spontaneity aur chaos mein hi college life ka asli thrill tha.
4th year Placement, BTP aur Junoon ki file pass karwane mein nikal gaya. Har effort worth tha because I knew it was the last sprint of a marathon. 15th May ki raat zero regrets the, bas yaadon se bhara ek bag. Pool mein Harshwardhan gang ke saath farewell hugs.
To my juniors: I know it is difficult to hold too many things at one time, but don't give up. Tough times will pass, and you will have fun again when you get past them.
Mentions: Ram Niwas PG boys (Gang), Moksha 2025, DL9SBV2678, last farewell party, Ethnic ki file, OG Dard Samaaj members (who made Banaras possible), Allen sir, Akshana ma’am ke saath scooty rides, Arsh sir aur Wardhan sir ke words of wisdom.
Thank You Maa and Papa
College khatam hua and it all made sense: “Teri kismat da likhya tere to kho ni sakda, je rabb di mehr hove te tenu o vi milju jo tera ho ni sakda”
