Dalmatian Pelican at Little Rann Of Kutch, Dec-16

This huge bird is the largest of the pelican species and one of the largest living bird species. It measures 5 ft to 6 ft in length and around 7–15 kg in weight and 9 ft to –11 ft in wingspan.

Northern Shoveler at Thane Creek, Feb 2017

This species is unmistakable due to its large spatulate bill. It has an iridescent dark green head, white breast and chestnut belly and flanks. In flight, pale blue forewing feathers are revealed, separated from the green speculum by a white border.

This small dabbling duck has pale, gray-barred sides and a buff spotted breast. The head is chestnut-brown with a green ear patch, the bill is dark gray, and the legs and feet are olive-gray.Diet includes seeds, insects and grasses.

Eurasian Spoonbill at Little Rann Of Kutch Dec-16

Short eared Owl at Little Rann Of Kutch, Dec-16

Its one of the world's most widely distributed owls, and among the most frequently seen in daylight. Don't look too eagerly for the ear tufts, which are so short they're often invisible. More conspicuous features are its black-rimmed yellow eyes. They use acute hearing to hunt small mammals and birds.
