She lost three. Only one remains.

Hidden beneath his mother’s watchful gaze sits the last surviving cub of a hard-fought litter.

This cheetah mother once cared for four young cubs, but the African wilderness claimed three. Predators, harsh conditions, and constant danger are challenges every cheetah mom faces alone.

Yet she never stopped trying. Day after day, she hunted, protected, and guided her cub through a world where survival is never guaranteed.

Now, all her energy and hope are focused on the single cub still by her side.

Fun fact: Only 5% of cheetah cubs survive to adulthood. Lions and hyenas take many.

Despite being the fastest land animal, a mother cheetah’s greatest challenge isn’t the hunt—it’s keeping her cubs alive.

I was fortunate to spend some time with Indrah this morning. She’s looking fantastic for a 16yr old cat.

The safest place in the wild isn't a den—it's a mother's embrace.

For this young lion cub, the world still feels peaceful beneath the warmth of its mother's chin. But beyond this quiet moment lies a harsh reality.

Every day, a lioness must patrol her territory, hunt for food, and remain alert to threats from rival lions, hyenas, and other predators. While this cub rests without fear, its mother's watchful eyes never truly relax.

In the African savanna, love is measured not by words, but by constant protection and sacrifice. Every successful hunt, every sleepless night, and every risk she takes is an investment in her cub's future.

Fun fact: Lion cubs are born completely dependent on their mothers. During their first weeks of life, lionesses often hide their cubs in dense vegetation and move them regularly to reduce the risk of predators discovering their hiding place.
