Calling all young women filmmakers from the North-East!

The NIDFF Mobile Short-Film Contest is here with a special opportunity to celebrate women empowerment through the power of storytelling.
If you are a girl filmmaker from North-East India and have a story to tell, this is your chance to step into the spotlight.

Create a short film (Fiction only) on any topic, showcase your creativity, and be part of an inspiring platform that encourages fresh voices in cinema.

Highlights:
Eligibility: North-East India (girls only)
Age: 16–23 years
Duration: Maximum 12 minutes
Video Resolution: Minimum 720p
Multiple submissions allowed
Cash prize, gift hampers, and certificates
Participation certificate for all
Entry Fee: ₹500

JIBONSOBI Streaming now as part of IFFM365.

Set in the picturesque but flood‐ravaged village of “Da‐Gaon” in Assam, Jibonsobi follows the lives of two men, Domboru and Pobin, as they move through the steady flow of time. Against the quiet backdrop of a changing world, the film shows how their friendship and connections slowly shift with modernisation and social change. Nothing happens in extremes; people simply grow apart, come closer, or fade away, shaped by time and circumstance. With the river as a gentle metaphor, Jibonsobi becomes a simple, heartfelt portrait of ordinary lives carried forward by forces they cannot control, yet remain deeply human till the end.
