This is a flip side of an incident that happened with me on 25th November, 2020. Please read till the last.

Yesterday, I was shooting for a wedding and while I was busy with my work, I saw an elderly man continuously staring at me. Since I did not find him uncomfortable, I did not react and continued my work. He was noticing me throughout the event when at the time of ‘Pheras’, he called me by saying, “Beta, idhar aa”! I went up to him and he said, “Aap sab sambhaal rahe ho, dulhe ko, dulhan ko, functions ko, video, photos, lights aur sab mann se kar rahe ho. Aap bohot aage jaaoge life mein” and here he put his hand on my head to give me blessings.

I cannot describe how I felt when I heard his blessings and his praises. The kind of respect that I saw in his eyes for my dedication to work gave me a sudden push of motivation to achieve greater heights and fulfil all my dreams.

Now why am I posting this story is because I was going through a tsunami of emotions after “The 25th Nov incident”. I was filled with negativity. I was scared that something like that will happen again and our jurisdiction will not provide justice to me.

People like this old uncle I met yesterday are the reason why I still believe in humanity. These are the people who inspires me to stay positive and dedicated towards my work. These are the people who just helps me to stand high and not fall prey for the conservative mentality.

We all go through good and bad phases in our lives but it is up to us what we want to remember and live by. All I am asking from the culprits of “The 25th Nov incident” is an apology because my dignity matters the most.

In the end, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all the people who came in support, texted me, called me and supported me. I am taking legal actions against those people and will keep you all posted!
