Posting this rare archival photograph from 1934, featuring Mrs. Sarojini Naidu with my grandfather, the poet Jamal Sabri. Mrs. Naidu was the first Indian woman to serve as President of the Indian National Congress and the first woman to be appointed Governor of an Indian state. This photograph was reproduced in the 1947 newspaper 'Shabab Weekly', and the original image has been published in Jamāliyāt, the poetry collection of Jamal Sabri, published by Rekhta.
