🌿🐅 LEARN WITH ASHISH - A New learning series.
Lessons straight from the field - I’m starting something new here ,sharing the little things , I’ve learnt over the years of photographing wildlife.
Not just the final photograph, but what happens behind the frame ,the angle, the light, the positioning, the patience and sometimes just being in the right place at the right time.
Chapter 01: The Power of a Low Angle
One of the biggest things I’ve learnt while photographing wildlife is the importance of getting low.
These photographs were captured in Bandhavgarh, and the low angle completely changes the way a tiger feels in the frame.
When you photograph from eye level, you’re documenting the animal.
But when you get down to its level, the photograph starts telling a different story. You become part of its world. The background becomes cleaner, the eyes feel more connected, and even a relaxed tiger can suddenly have a much stronger presence.
Of course, getting a low angle isn’t always possible and it should never come at the cost of disturbing the animal. It’s about making the most of the position you’re given.
