Incredibly honoured to share that I have won the Earth Photo 2026: Climate of Change Award, presented by the Royal Geographical Society in London! This project has been a deeply personal journey, documenting the complex realities of our changing planet, the vulnerability of its ecosystems, and the urgent narratives of environmental resilience. To have this work recognized on such a global platform is a moment I will never forget. My deepest thanks go to the Royal Geographical Society, Photoworks, and Parker Harris - Art Consultants for creating a space where visual stories can drive meaningful conversations about climate action and environmental impact.I am immensely grateful to the international judging panel for their time, insight, and belief in this work. Winning this award is a dream come true, and I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the esteemed jury: Louise Fedotov-Clements, Shahidul Alam, Emma Bowkett, Serubiri Moses, Peggy Sue Amison, and Yining He. Incredibly honoured to announce that my hand embroidered gumoil print, Devmati Singh Khairwar and Memory of a Home, is part of the upcoming The Royal Photographic Society, U.K. International Photography Exhibition 167 opening at the prestigious Saatchi Gallery, London.

It is an absolute privilege and honor to be featured alongside 47 incredibly talented international photographers, chosen from over 5,200 artists worldwide. My deepest gratitude to the jury members for this selection.The exhibition explores powerful themes like identity, memory, community, and culture, showcasing how contemporary photography engages with our world.

Join us at MOG Sundays amidst films and conversation that bring us closer to Goa’s wetlands, mangroves, and the many lives they sustain. We begin with ‘Kharvan’, a film that explores the fragile Khazan ecosystems of Goa and the coexistence between smooth-coated otters, local communities, and a landscape shaped over centuries. The screening will be followed by a conversation with the filmmakers Payal Kakkar, Nitya Navelkar and Doel Trivedy, reflecting on ecology, storytelling, conservation, and the futures we imagine for these environments.

The session concludes with ‘Requiem of a Mangrove Forest’, an award-winning documentary that traces the gradual destruction of Goa’s mangrove forests through haunting and poetic imagery. This documentary chronicles the subsequent death of two mangrove forests at Merces and Corlim in Goa, over a period of four years (2021-2024), attributing the destruction to climate change, salinity shifts, dam flooding, and illegal waste disposal. The narrative adopts a unique "non-human" perspective, viewing the forest as a collective entity connected by its root and mycelial network, which is tragically severed by its death.

Together, the films invite us to think about our relationship with the natural world, the stories embedded within these ecosystems, and the urgent need to care for them.
