Discover the creature that preceded tha humans into outer space
Rhesus macaques have an important history with humans and have aided a great deal of medical and scientific research. Rhesus antigens found in their blood enabled doctors to identify the different human blood groups. These primates also preceded humans into space.
Hardy in captivity, the rhesus monkey is a highly intelligent, lively animal that is docile when young but may become bad-tempered as an adult. It has also been an important experimental animal for medical and psychological research. The determination of the Rh form rhesus factor in human blood involves reaction with the blood of this monkey, and a rhesus was the first monkey to be rocketed into the stratosphere. The rhesus monkey and other macaques are classified in the family Cercopithecidae

Varanasi is the India of your imagination. This is one of the world's oldest continually inhabited cities, and one of the holiest in Hinduism. Pilgrims come to the Ganges here to wash away sins in the sacred waters, to cremate their loved ones, or simply to die here, hoping for liberation from the cycle of rebirth.

This species, also known as the “Indian gamma snake,” is relatively small. They usually grow no longer than three feet in length. Their primary defense from predators is looking like the highly venomous saw-scaled viper

It is a common cat snake. Its is a mildly venomous species of snake that usually lives on trees and feed on small lizards, rodents and small birds

These snake species live in a variety of different habitats within their range. Their habitat preference differs based on the species at hand. Some species live in humid tropical rainforest and mangrove swamps, while others live in grasslands and open woodlands. They do not live in colder regions or ecosystems.

There are more than 3,000 species of snakes found on the planet and they’re found everywhere except in Antarctica, Iceland, Ireland, Greenland, and New Zealand. About 600 species are venomous, and only about 200—seven percent—are able to kill or significantly wound a human.

Nonvenomous snakes, which range from harmless garter snakes to the not so harmless python, dispatch their victims by swallowing them alive or constricting then to the death . Whether they kill by striking with venom or squeezing, nearly all snakes eat there whole food , in sometimes astoundingly large portions.

Almost all snakes are covered in scales and as reptiles, they are cold blooded and must regulate their body temperature externally. Scales serve several purposes: They trap moisture in arid climates and reduce friction as the snake moves. There have been several species of snakes discovered that are mostly scaleless, but even those have scales on their bellies.
Special mention
ID: Common Trinket
Type: Non-venomous
Status: Common
Length: Youngs, 9-10 inches
Adults, avg. 2-3ft, max. 5ft
Habitat: Found among rocks, in bushes and near trees.
Feeds primarily on rats, sometimes on frogs and other small snakes
Nature: Active both in day and night. Aggressive. When threatened, raises its body, loops in S-shape,
puffs up, hisses loudly and will strike often, but completely harmless.
