Intro of Nagalapuram:
It is an historical place which is located in chitoor district of Andhra Pradesh is a temple town built by Krishna deva roya in remembrance of his mother Nagala Devi. The nayak rulers of Madurai, Thanjavur, Chenji, Kandi who were inter relative were also relatives of Nagala Devi. The village has got Vedanarayana Swamy temple otherwise called as Nagalapuram temple which is under management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.
Geography
It is located at 13.4000°N 79.7833°E.[3] It has an average elevation of 64 meters (213 feet).
Nagalapuram is located 100 kms (2hrs drive) from Chennai and the journey to this place will be really an adventure. If you are planning for complete thrilling & adventurous trekking experience don’t forget to carry your complete set of camping gears and don’t forget to carry your GPS to avoid getting lost in forest or can ask for guidance from village people.
Natural Water slide & 40 feet deep pool : There is also a waterfalls which is considered as Natural Water slide where thrilling water slide experience can be had and not only that there is another 40 feet deep pool is available where only swimmers can take advantage. Person who doesn’t know swimming must stay away.
Trekking: Nagalapuram Trekking is one among the thrilling trekking experiences in india. Apart from being Hills which is also a dense forest offers adventurous experience for trekkers. The pool of water is surrounded by high Rocky Mountains. The steep Rocky Mountains can be climbed to reach the top of the cliff. After reaching the Purdha Point the Cave Pool can be seen. The roof of the cave would be around 10 feet in height and the water rushes from the crack.
