I’m Kabilan, an freelance commercial photographer based in Chennai, specializing in Fashion and Portraiture. Four years of Design school helped me better appreciate everyday aesthetics of life and also introduced me to photography. What started as a hobby, turned into a passionate profession. Since 2010, I have shot portfolios for a number of independent fashion designers as well as editorial camp
aigns for design houses and brands like Gatsby, Ambi by Sujata Pai, Mandira Bansal Studios, Miss Life, Prajanyaa, Harsh Parekh, Mbespoke, X-Cube and Kallista Couture. I have done interior and architecture photoshoots for hospitality establishments such as Mamalla Resorts, Hotel Clinton Park Inn and Chakra Villas. I have shot corporate profiles for companies like ALASKA Engineering Solutions, Innowell Group and Mouglesoft. Apart from advertising photography, I also shoot portraits for portfolios of models, actors and other performance artists. I was also associated with the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and photographed the first Anaconda in the state. My work has been published in magazines such as SAVVY, Inbox 1305, Cinema Spice Entertainment, Cliq and in newspapers like Chennai Central @ The Hindu, Times of India and Deccan Chronicle. It has allowed me to do and see things, which in the normal walk of life, I would never have had the opportunity to do. It is this experience that I wish to share with the world.
