I lived in Australia for 6 years but didn’t fully understand the essence of the country and the diversity it presented until I visited Northern Territory(which happened 10 days before I left the country). It was a bit like slotting the last piece into a jigsaw puzzle.
It opened my eyes to Indigenous Australians, their culture and history and it helped me understand the underlying political and social issues a bit more.
And then there’s the diverse landscape which is something else. It’s massive, varied, and filled with wildlife. From waterfalls, escarpments, wetlands, waterholes to termite mounds, you’ll see it all. You haven’t really seen Australia until you’ve visited NT. Here’s a drone photo i took of the Wangi waterfalls, Litchfield national park.
