"Collarwala" A Bold Magnificent Tiger from Core-Zone Area of Tadoba!

Tigers in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) are fitted with radio collars for several important conservation and management purposes. Not every tiger is collared-only specific individuals based on conservation needs, & Collaring is done under veterinary supervision and with proper tranquilization. Collars allow forest officials & researchers to track the tiger's location & movements in real-time, which helps in understanding territory size, migration patterns, & habitat use. Some tigers come close to villages or human settlements, increasing the risk of human-wildlife conflict.
Collars help forest teams monitor such tigers closely & take action (like driving them away or relocating them) before conflict occurs.

All GPS collars are only for a certain period their maximum durability is 12-14 months.
