A massive frozen waterfalls at Lingti, Spiti Valley. You will find this right next to the road on the way to Kaza from Tabo. The second picture, courtesy will give a perspective of how huge the blocks of ice were as the tiny me stand at a corner and pose!

As often told by a co trekker, these pics were shot at the golden hour, I mean during sunset! 🤪
So this statue of Buddha is about 35 feet tall and built at the height of 14300 feet above sea level at Langza village, Spiti valley. The main attraction here place is the beautiful night sky with great views of milky way which we couldn't get to witness. We never dared to venture out at night because of the extreme cold. Also the time we visited was around the full moon period and the stars were not much evident due to the bright night sky.

On the way hiking up to the Dhankar lake. It's so surprising that most of the villages on Spiti valley are developed on the river side that recieves lesser snowfall, rather more sunlight. Just like in this picture there is one side of the river where there is hardly any snow but the other side is completely white. Hmmm but yes, very soon the entire valley will be covered by a blanket of snow for many months until it all starts to melt by April/May.
