💢From *PERSIA* To Your Plate:- The word Biryani is derived from the Persian word Birian, which means ‘fried before cooking’ and Birinj, the Persian word for rice. There are various theories related to the origin of this scrumptious dish. Many historians believe that biryani originated from Persia and was brought to India by the Mughals. Biryani was further developed in the Mughal royal kitchen.😊

💢And now its the most delivered food in India.

Raja Parba or Mithuna Sankranti is a three-day-long festival celebrated in Odisha, India.

♦️The term Raja came from the Sanskrit word 'Rajas' which means menstruation and when a woman menstruates, she is called 'Rajaswala' or a menstruating woman, and in medieval times the festival became more popular as an agricultural holiday marking the worship of Bhudevi, who is the wife of lord Jagannath. It is believed that the mother Goddess Earth or the divine wife of Lord Vishnu undergoes menstruation during the first three days.

♦️A silver idol of Bhudevi is still to be found in the Puri Temple beside Lord Jagannath.

♦️The first day of the festival is the day of Sajabaja which literally means to get dressed up. So to look more beautiful the girls get prepared themselves weraing new clothes, strekking Alta on the feet with silver anklets decorating their feets, using Chandan chitas on the forehead, eating sweet paana (betel) and eating delicious sweets and varieties of pithas to celebrate the day.
