Today, I had the opportunity to carry out descaling work as part of maintenance operations.
Descaling is a critical process to remove scale, deposits, and mineral buildup from equipment such as heat exchangers, chillers, and pipelines. Over time, scaling reduces efficiency, increases energy consumption, and can even lead to equipment failure if not addressed properly.
During this task, the focus was on: ✔ Ensuring proper chemical handling and safety measures
✔ Maintaining correct circulation and flushing procedures
✔ Monitoring system performance before and after descaling
✔ Improving overall heat transfer efficiency
Regular descaling not only enhances system performance but also extends the life of equipment and reduces operational costs.
