Artography basically translates to Art Photography.T is what some of my friends call me.My name is Chaitra(Chai as in “Tea”).I come from beautiful Bangalore in South India.I grew up and worked there before my then boyfriend now husband moved to Dubai.I followed him here 10 years ago.We now have two gorgeous girls and a lovely golden retriever(our third child). I have held corporate jobs and sold
houses in posh Dubai when Real Estate was at it peak.I stopped working just before I got pregnant with my first child and have dabbled with the idea of going back to work in a formal environment many times.I am extremely creative and my mind is constantly trying to invent,beautify,create and capture.Any formal workspace that was offered to me never covered my need to be creative. My true passion for photography started when we went to the Masai Mara on a holiday back in 2005.I must have taken over 1000 pictures but the ones that stood out the most for me were the photos that I took of the Masai and not the wildlife.Their faces,the innocence in their eyes,curiosity,their expressions and the colour of their clothing really came to life every time I looked at those pictures. My eyes look for composition in everything I see.I am constantly calculating and assessing light in my head.I am always looking at ways to improve my shot and almost always wishing I had a camera when I don’t have one around:)Photography has consumed me and so has my love for editing tools like Lightroom(recently) and Photoshop.I have since,undergone formal photography training and am putting to good use everything I have learnt.A person like me loves to learn and I know that the learning never stops in photography.I am a professional photographer with a style that looks and feels like I’m creating art rather than just a photograph. I love working with Natural Light and I almost never reach for a flash or work with studio lighting.There is such a thing as "The Golden Hour" in Photography. It is the first hour of light after sunrise, and the last hour of light before sunset, although the exact duration varies between seasons.The golden hour is my most favourite time of day to take pictures outdoors and at my lovely home studio.
