This was my last stop of the day…
Enroute, also visited Kotilingeshwara Temple — a unique and massive spiritual spot in its own way 🙏
But personally, Sri Someshwara Temple stood out the most… the sense of spirituality here was just on another level ✨

Located in the heart of Kolar, this temple stands majestically.
The moment you step into the sanctum, you feel a sense of peace—divine and grounding ❤️
An architectural marvel and a masterpiece of the Vijayanagara era, it stands as proof of a golden time in history…

A true hidden gem that deserves more recognition.
Hope Karnataka tourism gives this place the attention it deserves 🙏✨

The mini museum inside Payana Car Museum houses a vast and fascinating collection of artifacts—paintings, culinary items, everyday tools, machinery, sculptures, and equipment—all perfectly arranged. Walking through it, you can truly appreciate how beautiful and well-crafted life was in earlier times. It was absolutely mesmerizing, and these were the exhibits that caught my attention

Every corner of Payana reflects careful curation and a deep passion for automobiles. The layout is easy to navigate, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace. It’s the perfect place to spend 1–2 hours—capturing moments and appreciating the craftsmanship behind each vehicle.

There’s also a mini museum within the main museum that adds another layer to the experience. I’ll be sharing more about that in my next post, so stay tuned!

With such an amazing collection, one can only hope that the Payana team, along with Karnataka Tourism, continues to expand and showcase even more iconic vehicles in the future. If you appreciate cars, Payana is definitely worth a visit.

From cars once owned by the Wodeyars to timeless classics, the museum offers a fascinating journey through automotive evolution.

What makes Payana truly special is the diversity of its collection. You’ll witness the elegance of Rolls-Royce, India’s iconic Ambassador, along with Japanese reliability, German engineering precision, American muscle power, and European luxury—all thoughtfully displayed under one roof. Adding to the experience, a few army vehicles are also showcased, giving visitors a glimpse into military mobility.
