What happens when your mind becomes so completely coloured by God that nothing else seems to matter?

Mirabai sang of a chunariya—a cloth she wanted dyed in the deep blue of Krishna, so permanently that no washing could ever remove its colour. But what if that chunariya is actually the mind?

On 9 April 2010, as Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba travelled from Puttaparthi to Delhi on a specially chartered flight, I got a glimpse of what it means to have one’s entire mind saturated with the Divine. The anticipation, the journey, the extraordinary scenes at the airport, and the unforgettable moments aboard the aircraft became an experience I can never forget.

In March 1971, Ghana prepared to celebrate its Independence Day with an unprecedented Soul to Soul concert. 🎶 Legendary musicians including Wilson Pickett, Ike & Tina Turner, Carlos Santana, Roberta Flack, The Staple Singers, and many others gathered in Accra for an all-night musical celebration that would later become an award-winning documentary.

But on the eve of the event, nature had other plans. 🌪️

A violent storm tore through Black Star Square, hurling speaker towers, drenching priceless recording equipment, and threatening to bring years of planning to a heartbreaking end.

Among those witnessing the unfolding disaster were filmmaker Richard Bock and his wife Janet—devotees of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba 🙏– who had flown to Ghana with a professional camera crew to document this historic event as a Cinerama production . What happened next was so extraordinary that Richard documented it in the February 1972 issue of Sanathana Sarathi, while independent contemporary sources corroborated the storm itself.
