From an unpublished editorial assignment on how the people of Ovando Montana were impacted after a cyclist was killed by a grizzly bear while camping in the town center. With a population of about 50 Ovando sits at the southern edge of the Bob Marshall Wilderness and welcomes many passing cyclists each season. January 2024.
