Shopian is perhaps the only district in Kashmir where the current season still feels fresh and breathable . No Russian poplar trees and no cotton-filled air.

A meaningful achievement of civic sense and environmental awareness by the people of Shopian. Public health matters and Shopian seems to have understood it well.

Should other districts also rethink the unchecked plantation of Russian poplars?
