Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum, Raipur ® महंत घासीदास स्मारक संग्रहालय, रायपुर

महंत घासीदास स्मारक संग्रहालय भारत में छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य की राजधानी रायपुर में स्थित है। यह एक पुरातात्विक संग्रहालय है। इसे 1875 में राजा महंत घासीदास ने बनवाया था। वर्ष 1953 में रानी ज्योति और उनके पुत्र दिग्विजय ने इस भवन का पुनर्निर्माण करवाया था। इस संग्रहालय में हथियारों के नमूने, प्रावीन सिक्कें, मूर्तियाँ और नक्काशी आदि प्रदर्शित किए गए हैं, साथ ही क्षेत्रीय आदिवासी जनजातीय परम्पराओ को प्रदर्शित करने वाले कई प्रादर्श यहाँ रखे गए है।सन 1953 को इस संग्रहालय भवन का लोकार्पण गणतंत्र भारत के प्रथम राष्ट्रपति डॉ. राजेन्द्र प्रसाद के करकमलों द्वारा किया गया। इस संग्रहालय में वर्तमान में कुल 17279 पुरावशेष एवं कलात्मक सामग्रियां हैं जिनमें 4324 सामग्रियां गैरपुरावशेष हैं तथा शेष 12955 पुरावशेष हैं।

रामगढ़ पर्वत (जोगीमारा और सीताबेंगरा गुफाएं) | दुनिया का पहला एम्पीथियटर |

सीताबेंगरा गुफ़ा छत्तीसगढ़ की राजधानी रायपुर से 280 किलोमीटर दूर रामगढ़ में स्थित है। अंबिकापुर-बिलासपुर मार्ग पर स्थित रामगढ़ के जंगल में तीन कमरों वाली यह गुफ़ा देश की सबसे पुरानी नाटयशाला है। सीताबेंगरा गुफ़ा पत्थरों में ही गैलरीनुमा काट कर बनाई गयी है। यह गुफ़ा प्रसिद्ध जोगीमारा गुफ़ा के नजदीक ही स्थित है। सीताबेंगरा गुफ़ा का महत्त्व इसके नाट्यशाला होने से है। माना जाता है कि यह एशिया की अति प्राचीन नाट्यशाला है। इसमें कलाकारों के लिए मंच निचाई पर और दर्शक दीर्घा ऊँचाई पर है। प्रांगन 45 फुट लंबा और 15 फुट चौडा है। इस नाट्यशाला का निर्माण ईसा पूर्व तीसरी शताब्दी का माना गया है, क्यूँकि पास ही जोगीमारा गुफ़ा की दीवार पर सम्राट अशोक के काल का एक लेख उत्कीर्ण है। ऐसे गुफ़ा केन्द्रों का मनोरंजन के लिए प्रयोग प्राचीन काल में होता था।
