Living in the enchanting Dooars, specially in Alipurduar, I have been privileged to witness the rich tapestry of cultures and tribes in the Alipurduar district. Sadly, since the British era, systematic and scientific documentation of these diverse communities has been nearly nonexistent. Sporadic attempts, though heartfelt, often lack the necessary anthropological rigor, leaving a significant void in our knowledge.

With my background in anthropology and deep firsthand experience with our local tribes during my extensive visit to their villages for the purpose of photography, I am inspired to fill this gap by writing a comprehensive book that accurately and scientifically documents the myriad cultures of Alipurduar. This endeavor aims to preserve and honor our unique heritage.

I humbly seek your mental support and encouragement on this journey. Together, let us illuminate and celebrate the vibrant cultural mosaic that defines our beloved region.
