The 25 million-year-old Great Barrier Reef of Australia passed away in 2016 after a long illness". :-(

Everyone's notice that the earth's largest living structure is dead and gone.

Every one of us is aware of the effects of global warming and how it has been wrecking havoc on mother nature. Climate changes, urbanisation and gross negligence by humans have altered many of our natural treasures.

In April, scientists from the Australian Research Council's Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies found that the most severe coral bleaching event on record had impacted 93% of the reef, which means that more than three quarters was still alive and in desperate need of relief activities.

Home to 1,625 species of fish, 3,000 species of mollusk, 450 species of coral, 220 species of birds, and 30 species of whales and dolphins, The Great Barrier Reef was the largest breeding ground for green turtles as well.
