As you may have seen in the news recently, India is facing a devastating second wave of covid.
A couple of years ago, I had the pleasure of visiting Manav Sadhna in Ahmedabad, India with A Germ's Journey to help in delivering handwashing workshops as well as co-creating hand washing songs, books and posters. I got to meet the incredible people that work and volunteer with Manav Sadhna as well as people in the communities in which they support.
I learnt so much from this experience and the people I worked with and this is still ongoing with the partnership between Manav Sadhna and De Montfort University Leicester (DMU), and I hope the hand washing resources we created together have been helpful.
However right now, Manav Sadhna have relaunched Project Karuna, specifically designed to offer relief work during the Covid-19 crisis and they are in desperate need of funding. In addition to the provision of meals and grocery kits, they are now also offering crucial medical supplies and support.
Below is a link to help, please donate if you can. If not, please share the message as someone else may be able to.
