This one comes from our shoots across India with Sense International India and its partner organisations.

What stayed with him wasn't just the food. It was the people.

A young girl whose singing could light up a room.

Caregivers whose patience, warmth and quiet dedication spoke louder than words.

He called it बेमिसाल.

Who, then, is truly बेमिसाल? Is it the girl?

Her voice?

The caregivers?

Or is it life itself, quietly placing बेमिसाल people in the most ordinary moments?

Have you ever watched a film your organisation made and felt something was missing?

The story was there. The people were real. Everyone tried.

And yet.

We have been asking ourselves that question for a long time. What actually makes a nonprofit film work?

We started writing about it. Post 1 is up.

It is called Before the Camera Rolls and it is for anyone in the development sector thinking about making a film, or wondering why their last one did not quite land.

कुछ झलकियाँ आपके सामने हैं।

Some of the most important things we learnt weren’t what we went looking for. Wait… What? comes from those moments - small observations that made us pause, question, and see our world a little differently.
Through our film Vision to Vitality, these insights were shaped by our interactions with Jagat Kinkhabwala - an institution in himself. Working closely with him was an honour. A living encyclopedia on birds, nature, and the environment, we remain deeply grateful for the knowledge he shared with us.
