A modern object.
A 19th-century negative process.

This razor was captured as a Wet Plate Collodion negative and later translated into a Salted Print blending raw chemistry with handcrafted photographic printing.

The glow, scratches, streaks, and textures are all part of the process itself, making every print completely one of a kind.

Some images don’t reveal themselves instantly—they emerge.😍

This negative was created using the wet plate collodion process—
a method where light, silver, and timing all negotiate the final outcome.

Then comes the transformation—
a cyanotype print, toned with tea water,
where the image slowly finds its depth, color and warmth.

It's slow.
It’s unpredictable.
And that’s exactly why it feels real.🫰

Tell me in comments, what do you think about it?

Collodion positive on acrylic — where light, silver, and patience meet.

Every plate is made by hand, coated, exposed, and developed within minutes… a process unchanged since the 19th century, recreated by @1839.chpp .

Not printed.
Not filtered.
Just light, glass, and history.

Each plate holds a moment.
