Spotted owlets.

In Hindu mythology, the vahana (vehicle or mount) of Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, is the owl.

Here's a bit more about why the owl is considered Lakshmi's vahana:

Owls are nocturnal creatures with excellent night vision. This is seen as symbolic of Lakshmi's ability to see and guide people towards prosperity, even in times of darkness or difficulty.

According to a story, when Lakshmi chose her vahana, she said that the first animal to reach her on the dark night of Kartik Amavasya (a Hindu lunar day) would be her vahana. The owl, with its keen eyesight, was the first to find her, and she chose it as her mount.

મસ્તી વધી ગઈ તો વિરક્તિ વધી ગઈ.
ઘેરો થયો ગુલાલ તો ભગવો થઇ ગયો.

मस्ती बढ़ी गई, तो विरक्ति बढ़ गई।
गाढ़ो हुओ गुलाल तो केसरिया होइ गयो।

When the fun increased, detachment also increased.
When the color became deep, it turned into saffron.

ઘેરો થયો ગુલાલ તો ભગવો થઇ ગયો.

જળને તો માત્ર જાણ છે, તૃપ્તિ થવા વિષે.
મૃગજળને પૂછ કેમ હું તરસ્યો થઇ ગયો.

Mason's gloves

These gloves are rested on extended bars at a construction site by Masons working here. It looks like the pain and suffering of Mason's hands are transferred to these gloves! And these gloves appear to pray looking towards the sky...

Life is not easy for construction labour. They work from morning to evening in the scorching heat of 45 degrees here near Ahmedabad. Still they are not off, their stamina is at par and divine. What they can do, no other humans can do. They are construction laborers, life is miserable for them.

This Ram Navmi is a very special for India, when 'Ram Lalla' is back to his temple at Ayodhya - The Ram Janmabhoomi. Rama in that infant form was referred as Ram Lalla ('Child Rama') by Shri Tulsidas.
