If you know me, you know I love shooting people in their surroundings, the story unfolds as you scan around and get an idea of who the person or people are.

There’s something special about working with family. I can’t quite put my finger on it but you don’t get it elsewhere. I met these two brothers running a chicken shop while walking the streets of Cairo. Supplying meat to local areas and earning their crust in the chaos of city.

Cairo - A trove of antiquities including royal mummies and gilded King Tutankhamun artifacts, yet, full of modesty.

I was walking through the streets of New Cairo through a Bazaar and came across this chap as he was sitting down on the phone, delegating jobs to people in his thick Arabic accent.

I crouched down, and snapped a couple frames. Not a single word was exchanged, he just smiled and gave me a thumbs up.

People of Egypt are sound as!

Our Masala Ketchup has landed 🤩🤩🤩

When we started out, this was never on the cards, but the response has been amazing to this saucy number, so it only felt natural to start bottling it.

The sauce packs a punch. Sweet, tangy with a little kick to it. It’s vegetarian and vegan friendly. Now you can put it on everything at home 😋😋

**Available as of Thursday this week**

We’ll also be offering a refill service, just bring your bottle in once you e polished it off and we’ll top it up for you for a small fee 🥰🥰

made the on Saturday last week, and what an incredible write up on a double spread article.

Personally, I never thought we’d end up here, especially as Mums cooking has very much been a personal thing for us but it’s now out there for everyone to enjoy and it’s one of the most proudest moments as a son. Seeing the love shown to us, Mum especially as she’s the star of the show is just like lovely wee dream. My brother here in the picture is making big moves in his cooking too. They’re not classically trained chefs, just two people with a fiery passion for home cooked punjabi & Indian street food which is a huge talent and blessing in itself.

There’s been a lot of support for our wee family business, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Where’s my photography career going? Honestly I don’t know, I want both to flourish, I feel like I’m here in the background shouting “I’m still here” and I guess I always will be. For this moment, I’m riding the Sabzi wave ✌🏽

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared drinks related work, and quite frankly I miss it, but I’m not going anywhere! I’m staying put with my babies (cameras) 😂

Opening a restaurant over lockdown was never part of the plan but I’m loving it just as much! Here’s a shot from last year I did for with the team at that makes me miss shooting drinks.

I honestly can’t describe how much fun it was to shoot a wedding with two of the loveliest people I know, from start to finish it was filled with the best moments, emotions and atmosphere even with the rain!

A post of appreciation for the queen in my life. Every weekend, as a family we get to come together and serve this fine city. Your experience with food has brought a community together in a time where peoples lives have been turned upside down and you gave them a reason to get away from the stresses of their day to eat your food.

Nani taught you what you needed to know and now you’re passing it down to another generation.

As children, we think our mums are always ok, but they have tough days too. Regardless of how your day went, you made sure we had food on the table, sometimes cooking when you didn’t have the strength to, but you did it and look where we are now. Serving people from all walks of life. You’re the definition of a best friend and in my eyes an absolute queen ❤️
