My friend Tamaaki Wakata san wrote a book about our motorcycle trip, 3 years ago, in the footprints of Matsuo Basho's book Oku No Hosomichi (The Narrow Road to the Far North). I contributed the photos. The book was just published in Amazon Asia, in Japanese. An English version may follow.

Going back to the months of September and October of 2022 to my motorcycle trip, together with my Japanese friend Tamaaki Wakata san, in the footprints of Matsuo Basho, around Honshu, Japan. The map of Google Gallery reveals that during the one month trip I shot 6,619 photos. Connecting thecolor spots on the map, like the children's game, reveals the route of the trip, close to 3000 km. I initiated the trip but it was Wakata san who actually planned the route to the smallest details, including hotels (riyokans) and two interviews to local press. Despite the time that passed I'm going to start loading photos from the trip because most photos are timeless. I'll be glad if you follow my trip again.

I received these messages that my page Hanan-in-Japan was limited for some reason. I don't recognize the name of whoever posted it and the notification itself does not react as a normat post does. Does anyone know what it is and how to solve it? Hanan-in-Japan cant be tagged but I can reach it in a normal way.

Sorting my photos from the trip Oku No Hosomichi, The Narrow Road to the North, in the footsteps of Matsuo Basho. I stumbled upon this photo that I took on the road along Lake Biwa, north of Kyoto. I think the black ones are cormorants and the white ones Egrets. 09102022.
