Another side of his art is photographs of people and landscapes. His father Yosheph Patz was an extraordinary person, a man of many talents – a sculptor, ceramic artist, a unique portrait painter using various, special techniques and an art researcher. Itzik was born into a reality in which his father, the versatile artist, was his master. His father died in 1984 when Itzik was merely 20 years old. Itzik went on studying painting in Kalisher School in Tel-Aviv. Itzik’s first paintings were of Old Zephat in water colors – paintings that reflect a dialog between him and his late father. Later on he began painting in oil, using both paint brushes and spatula, thus creating a unique personal style. In 2006 Itzik went to Europe for the first time with his wife and two kids. He traveled through Switzerland and France. The watery views were motifs that touched his heart. His large oil paintings were painted in his studio according to his artistic perception without any external constrains and with a lot of attention and devotion. His art is realistic, full of life, joy and beauty. It reflects sea, water, a flow. He is an Israeli, discovering the beauty of the European landscape. He expects art to be comprehensive. Itzik is a member of the Israeli Painter and Sculptor Association and a member of the Petach-Tikva Artists Fellowship. Itzik has held many exhibitions in Israel, displaying both of own works and his late father’s works."
