"I am fulfilling a lifelong dream. My father, z"l, never had the opportunity to visit Israel. He passed away when I was 5 and my mom decided to take us to Israel for our first family vacation. I was fortunate to spend a lot of time visiting Israel and was raised with a passion for the country. With each trip I became more hooked on the culture and the people, until I eventually realized I wanted to be a part of the future here. I love the simplicity of living a life with values. There is nothing to hide behind here. In Israel, I can be the best Jew and giver I can be.
I made Aliyah today because I didn't want to be envious of others who are doing it. I didn't want to look back with regret, so I made the decision to do it now, while I'm still a Bat Sherut (national service volunteer) instead of waiting out the year and going back to the States and doing it from there. I just couldn't wait.”
