לפני כמה שבועות יצאנו בערב שבת לבית שלנו שבהתהוות. הסברתי לכולם שהמטרה הפעם היא לחוות רגע דרך צילום והתבוננות. לא לראות ...

לפני כמה שבועות יצאנו בערב שבת לבית שלנו שבהתהוות. הסברתי לכולם שהמטרה הפעם היא לחוות רגע דרך צילום והתבוננות.
לא לראות לראות בתיעוד מעמסה או אפילו משימה. אלא משהו שהפעם הוא חלק מהחוויה.
נתתי את ה Canon בידיים של הילדים,
ואני לקחתי בידיים את ה Canonet שלי🎞️
וזה לא היה סשן. זו היתה דרך מעניינת להיות שם באמת.

A few weeks ago we visited the house we’re building just before Shabbat.
I told the kids that this time, the idea was to experience the moment through photography and observation.

Not to treat documenting as a task, but as part of the experience itself.

I gave the Canon to the kids,
and took the Canonet for myself.🎞️

It wasn’t a session.
Just a different way of truly being there.

A mother and her daughter came from Belgium to Jerusalem to mark a quiet, sacred transition - the moment a girl becomes a Bat Mitzvah.
Standing at Jaffa Gate, hand in hand, they paused before the faces of October 7th, as the sound of a lone violin carried through the ancient stone.
In that in-between space - between past and future, memory and becoming - this was not only a journey to a place, but a moment of arrival.

(אמנם לא נולדת בחנוכה, בחנוכה עוד היית מחובקת בתוכי כמו עוד שלהבת אש קטנה).
