Surrealism in context
When I flip through our 2020 photo album, the first thing that comes to mind is that I really should get to work on 2021-2024 albums :)
Going through the photos, life looks perfectly normal. But in the context of a global pandemic, they feel totally different all of the sudden.
This war with Iran has thrown our life sideways for the past week.
School is out, work isn’t.
Sleepless nights and missile alarms 4-5 times a day.
And A LOT of time with my kids (meaning a lot of time documenting them).
Things move UNBELIEVIBLY FAST in Israel, and it’s amazing to see how quickly they adapt!!
I was at the basketball court with my son the other day, everyone was playing and having a good time when we got a missile alarm.
Everyone evacuated calmly to a shelter for half an hour and went back to playing as if nothing happened - I can never get used to it.
Anyways, these are a few photos from the past week, life looks perfectly normal. But in the context of a war, they feel totally different all of the sudden.
