Golden hour over Tramore sometimes delivers something special

From the sandhills, the sky opened up with incredible Jacob’s Ladder rays stretching across the horizon — those dramatic beams of sunlight breaking through the clouds just before sunset. Moments like this remind me why I keep chasing light with a camera.

The combination of the fading sun, the texture in the clouds, and the calm coastline created one of those scenes that lasts only minutes but stays with you much longer.

“The tide arrives with quiet promise but quickly drowns and overwhelms the beach as the sun spills gold over every pebble.

While the tide works on softening the sharp edges by wearing the pebbles down through attrition, this scene is reminding us that even the smallest things can shine brightly when touched by the right light.”

Under the quiet glow of Samuel Beckett Bridge, the river tells the truth about life—half the reflection steady and clear, the other half drifting in the wind—reminding us we’re always somewhere between certainty and change.

"Even when the sun never breaks the horizon at Fanad Head Lighthouse, the sky still ignites orange, pink, and blue spilling over the Atlantic leaving the photographer to capture a fire with no visible flame."

Along the pier wall walk to Poolbeg Lighthouse, people become part of the photograph small figures moving ghostlike, drawn forward by a red beacon that feels both distant and somehow personal, like they’re part of the same story.
