Sharing some news......... I've been announced as a finalist in this year's Connect Kerry Women in Business in the Creative Arts/Digital Media category.
Michelle Breen Crean Photography began almost three years ago after a strong desire to work for myself for a very long time. My love for photography began aged 16-years-old when I was gifted a camera from my dad.
My background spans over 20 years in local media; 15 years as a photojournalist with the Kerry’s Eye Newspaper in Tralee, and five years working as the Editor of the Killarney Advertiser.
Using this media experience in my business, I have built a thriving brand with a varied portfolio which includes PR photography, corporate and community events, headshots and personal branding, family portrait sessions, editorial work, and newborn sessions, with every project approached with the same commitment to quality, professionalism, and storytelling. I love interacting with people; meeting them, getting to know their personal stories, photographing them, and making them feel seen!
I have used that experience to photograph some of Ireland’s most recognisable political leaders and public representatives, including An Taoiseach Micheál Martin on two separate occasions this year, Tánaiste Simon Harris, and numerous Government ministers and politicians.
A major milestone in the continued growth of the business is the launch of my new home studio, an exciting expansion that will allow me to further develop my creative services and provide clients with a dedicated professional space for portraiture and bespoke photography sessions including family sessions, professional headshots, and newborn photography.
Being named a finalist in the Connect Kerry Business Awards is a great recognition of the hard work, professionalism, and an unwavering passion for photography that I bring to my business.
