Most product brands get a fraction of the value they could from their photography. The images themselves are usually fine. What’s missing is a plan for how every frame gets used.

There’s a piece of content most product brands postpone for years, then wish they’d commissioned earlier. A brand film.

Reels and product shots do their job. They keep the feed alive, drive launches, sell from the grid. But none of them tell a stranger who you are, why you do this, and what you stand for. That’s the work a brand film does. Sitting at the top of your website. Anchoring your About page. Sent to a stockist before a meeting. Played at trade shows where the only thing earning you attention is the screen.

It’s the one piece of content that keeps earning long after you’ve made it.

That AI-written shoot brief is good. It’s just built for a brand with a full product line and a year of channels to earn it back, not a brand launching one or two products.

Comment “production” and I’ll send you the exact prompt to right-size your own launch shoot, so your brief gets you the best return for the brand you actually have right now.

I see this constantly. A brand invests in beautiful photography for their own channels, then sends their stockists a WeTransfer link with a handful of unusable images. The retailer photographs the product themselves on a busy shop counter, and the brand’s visual identity dissolves the moment it hits the shelf.

Build a stockist asset folder into every shoot. Multiple crops for every channel, lifestyle shots without campaign branding, drop-in copy, brand assets in usable formats. The brands that get re-ordered are the ones who make stockists’ lives easy.

Talking to a fellow business owner today about the affiliate links rolling out on Instagram, and this came up. She had no idea, and honestly most people don’t. Posting in case it’s news to a few of you too.

Where’s your brand showing up inconsistently right now? The website that doesn’t match the Instagram? The packaging that looks nothing like the product pages? That’s where the gap usually is.

I’ve been watching something over the last few months that I think a lot of Irish product brands need to hear.

Shein has just opened a 740,000 square meter fulfilment centre in Poland. Temu has 10 warehouses across Europe. They’re not shipping from China anymore they’re shipping from next door.

if you have an Irish brand competing on quality, not price the next 12 months matter

The brands that get their identity and visual direction locked down now will be the ones that get chosen when cheaper alternatives are sitting right beside them on every screen.

That’s what I do at Verver. Photography video and brand strategy for brands that deserve to be seen.

Follow along, if this is something your brand is struggling with, I’ll be talking more about what you can do to help your Brand
