A few snaps from a recent break in Italy, a place I've always wanted to visit and finally found an excuse.

We travelled to a few cities, but most of the photos take place in Verona, the home of Romeo and Juliet 💘

Landscape photography is still fairly new to me, but such a beautiful location made it easy to find interesting shots.

Decided to attempt my first Sunrise shoot from Raghly looking back towards the Dartey mountain range, and God a lovely clear morning for it.

Aside from arriving at least an hour too early in my eagerness, it all went well and yet also gave me plenty of ideas on how to improve for the next time I want to wake up at 4am..

Thanks to Merthel for waking up and keeping me company in the wind too 😅

The last of my overdue photos from 2024, I had the genuine pleasure of meeting Manchán Magan during his visit to Sligo with 'Rewilding the Mind' in the Hawk's Well Theatre.

It's always a little bit strange meeting someone who you follow through social media and then talking to them backstage and chatting a bit, and I'm glad to say Manchán was truly one of the kindest I've met with a cheery disposition and a relaxed attitude.

Getting the opportunity to enjoy his show and take photos at the same time was a perfect way to end 2024, and a big thanks for the gifted books too, they were a delight to read and were savoured by my love for history and culture.

A busy end to 2024 and start to 2025 has me a bit behind on my socials, but the year did end with some lovely opportunities for some photography.

Niall McCabe was kind enough to have me along for his wonderful show in the Hawk's Well Theatre back in November.

The stage was shared with Sean Lyons and Donal Moran, two fantastic musicians in their own right.

You know it's going to be a good day when Karen Gordon from Pop-Up Theatre gets in contact, and I was ecstatic to help announce the production of Sweeney Todd!

Moody lighting with vivid colours made for an enjoyable shoot with a bunch of fun-loving people. Handy when you need a barbershop as a backdrop and your best mate/ business partner happens to own one too 😂

If you haven't booked a ticket for then I highly recommend you get yours ASAP!

Show takes place at the Knocknarea Arena at ATU Sligo, but tickets are purchased through the Hawk's Well Theatre.

You know it's a good night when the multi-instrumentalist acoustic quartet, Jargon, are going to hit the stage.

Their mix of Ragtime, Blues, Folk and Bluegrass was a hit with the crowd, as is expected from hit group of veteran musicians!
