Happy happy happy Friday 🎉🥳🌳

Today’s fact is about interconnectedness.

FF #51 Wood Wide Web

Beneath every forest and wood there is a complex underground web of roots, fungi and bacteria that connect trees and plants to one another so they can literally talk to one another. This subterranean social network is nearly 500 million years old.

Happy Friday and another Sunny Day. Joy 🥳🥳

Today’s fact came about after a conversation with my 4 year who was wearing his favourite “pirate” T-shirt last week. Why do “pirates wear stripy T-shirts and where did they come from.

FF #30

As you might already have guessed the strips were used so that sailors could be spotted easier if thrown overboard.

It’s believed the French navy were the first to utilise the pattern in 1858 Brittany and for this reason the pattern is referred to as the “Breton Stripe”.
